13 June 2006 ! at 1:04 AM ! haha i was too lazy to type out whatever happened, plus i was only there during bits and pieces of the camp! so yup i copied and pasted from CHARMAINE'S blog! xD thanks loads charm! haha well yea so that was entirely charmaine's version in green and mine in orange xD i have to clarify certain things! haha xD YAYS. the 5-day camps were FANTASTIC. thank God for all the people who put in so much effort and love into the preparation and execution of this camp(: and for all my bunk-mates and all of you who took the time to come for the camps. you guys made a difference in the camp in no matter wad big or little way! xDHERE'S THE CAMP SONG [chorus only] (: a common love for each other a common gift to the Saviour a common bond holding us to the Lord a common strength when we're weary a common hope for tomorrow a common joy in the truth of God's Word. hees. we all memorised it. yays! PRAISE GOD(: it was a great time of singing and stuff. it was fantastic(: yayys. we sang "a common love" with everybody having arms on each other, swaying to the music. it was so cool. hees.ohkay. i'll tell you all the games and schedule and EVERYTHING including details. i'll leave out the lame jokes that melody told us. you'll die frm its lame-ness!!! hees. no offence mel(: [i love your lame-ness still(:] 5th june 2006 [day 1] i arrived 5 minutes earlier then 9am. yay! hahaah. so i was early! whee~ hees. then i collected my koinonia camp tee and camp booklet. hees. then i went to change. happy happy. hees. then i put lugguage in the basement. then we went upstairs for worship and a couple of games. we learnt the camp song and also learnt that darren doesnt noe jason's full name!!! wahahah. we'll forever rmbr that darren! hees.then we had to carry our bags to the buses. i was pretty high i guess. hees. then we checked in. we had 5 dorms. one glasgow room for night worship only. and the canteen which was small and had a vending machine! yay! hahah. girls and guys both have toilets and separate shower rooms. wee. but we still had to queue up lah. the girls' toilet&shower room was closer. yays. hahs. i occupied dorm 3 together with the females of my group[keluarga, meaning family in malay], bev, kailing, rikki, querise, melody. only 6 of us to one big room. woots~ we placed the mattresses on the floor and slept in a big group together. joan joined us for both nights at the lower sec camp. hahs. near great world city there. then we had lunch where we were tied to each other in groups. i was tied to john. poor guy. he was a left hander. but trained by that day to use right hand to eat. hees. got 4 groups. keluarga, carabenas, ionites and uhu. they all got meaning one. but i forgot liao. hees. then we had station games.my grp decided to go see kailing's one first. then we ran there with another grp. they hang apples on the really very short goalpost which they sprayed whip cream all over it and we had to each get a bite without using our hands. it was messy. but we did it(: woots. hees. then we went to see seto. giolo & james had a sugar cube on their foreheads and we had water guns. we had to dissolve the sugar cube by shooting water at them. it was really funny. oh yes. OUR CHEER(: i love you you love me we are one big family with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you we are from the ga-ga land[short form for keluarga] HEES. then we went to ian's station. where there was the THOUSAND YR OLD honey and cotton balls. have you guessed yet? we had to stick our faces on the honey and stick up as many cotton balls there were. wahahaha. it was crazy! but very sweet. i licked the honey on my nose. it was yummy. no wonder it's "THOUSAND YR OLD". wahahahahaah.then we went to mimi and nini's station. melody had whip cream on her face and we were to throw fruity loops at her and make sure it stays on her face. hees. it was disgusting. heh. but ohkay lah. i koped some and ate the fruity loops. bonus was to find aunty annie and give her a hug. then shout "i love you" to daph. hees. it was ohkay.then it was off to daph's station. we had to blow up balloons. spray shaving cream on 'em. then use a SHAVER to SHAVE OFF ALL THE CREAM on the balloons. melody's balloon was the nicest and cleanest. she just GAN GAN shave. i uber scared to burst it lah. hees. in the end, we had to burst our balloons with a plastic fork. i poked it and screamed. lol. it burst at the 2nd try.i dun rmbr when we went to jon chong's station. but it was banana surgery. we had to cut up the banana. then tape it back together again. it was yucky. and sticky. oh eew. hees.then we slacked. played concentration. animal one. black magic. i got bored. and went back to my dorm.the guys played soccer. total 5 hrs lah. hees. then we didnt wash up. cuz we knew tonight will have candle fight(: we had a message on knowing who we worship. spiritual revival. we could really see God's hand working that night. we knew the 3 names of God 1. His name is Holy 2. His name is Jealous [He's only jealous because we are rightfully His. if we worship or place sth else above Him, He will be jealous.] 3. His name is Jehovah/Yahweh. then we went mad before the candle fight. did the alternate jump thingy. played games while the adults prepared the candle fight. i burnt my left index finger. wax was very painful. esp that dominic walking in rounds and spilling his wax on me. thanks alot. not. hees. then we won. cuz bev burnt some grp's last string. hees.then i bathed and went to slp. and melody and frens were snorting and laughing/giggling at night. i woke up a few times. hees. [day 2] 6th june 2006 woke up. had breakfast. worship! then did devotions on honoring our parents in our groups. jon chong led the group. then it was lunch. some ppl joined us. then we din have games at first. cuz it was raining/drizzling. the dorm 3 ppl, including jo en and jo lin went arnd tau-pok-ing ppl. wahahahahaah. so fun lah. then aunty annie ASK us to TAUPOK her leh! so funny. hees. then they say got games. we had to so SMU for games. so we waited for the bus lor. the first 2 grps go first. then our grp and ionites. we were going to play police and thieves at SMU. the schl was our playgrnd. we cannot run. if run, we have to go to jail. we have to walk fast to escape frm the police. there were marshalls/adult leaders everywhere. garden very fun to walk. and it was drizzling. so a bit wet lah. darn. we had four games. cuz each team had to have a chance to be the police. then the end was the marshalls/adult leaders catching us. i was caught twice. first time i was surrounded by ian and caleb. leb's against me!!! not fair. gimme a dumb grin when he was going to catch me. nxt was together with jolin. surrounded by melvin, james and eric. hees. i actually, rikki was there too. we were playing escalator with them lah. then i had to let rikki get away. so as james grabbed me and jo lin by our arms REALLY tightly, i grabbed melvin and eric's sleeves so rikki could get away first. i was pulled away and i had to let go. then got ppl hiding in 7-11. not fair lah. hees. then in the end, they caught everybody. not fair. so strict lah. then we had to go back to the campsite by ourselves. the shuttle bus to great world took forever lah.then we had message. and cassandra[who came only for the day] and henrietta[who stayed on for the rest of camp] joined us. well i came and just in time for service - thank God! thank God that He allowed me to be able to come just in time to listen to His so very precious Word! xD the message was on assembling of ourselves together is very important. we must be united because: a) we are commanded b) we are connected c) we are commissioned woots(: then we have to make a skit. and the skit must contain the 10 phrases. here they are: 1. Be a man, do the right thing 2. i am cow. hear me moo... 3. aiyo my mamas! 4. neh x 20 5. don't tie my hands 6. siao liao! 7. i need to go to the toilet. 8. may the force be with you. 9. wo3 men2 jiu4 shi4 xu1 yao4 ni3 zhe4 zhong3 ren2 cai2! 10. do some damage! 11. (optional) i pok you arh! haha found out that my group was hornie's and iris' group - ionites! :D haha well our skit was hilarious too! darren was hilarious what with the entire toliet scene xD haha! well i was the narrator though i think i was quite nervous and all but yea xD it was funny. my grp's skit revolves arnd singapore idol and kidnap. hees. too long and lazy to write. hees.then it was prize presentation!! (: best camper in uhu - samantha xD carabenas - ??? i forgot. hees. sorry whoever you are. if i found out, i'll edit in. ionites - ??? forgot too. =x keluarga/ga-ga land - me(: whees~ thank God(: hees. best actor - CARSMON!!! hahah. "I POK YOU ARH!" so funny(: best actress - me(: hees. i was acting a damn crazy role. want to noe, ask me. hehs. best group - GA-GA LAND[: woots!! haahah. we won. lalala~ best camper of the lower sec camp - JAMES congrats brother-in-Christ(: you deserve it! best skit - UHU [cuz of OXYGEN lah. hahahahah.] haha that night me and aika stayed up late to talk! we had SO MUCH to catch up on! after not seeing each other like, a month or so! haha we stayed up till 3 in the morning and next morning we couldn't wake up at nine xD haha and joan and melody had to keep waking us up and i felt like a zombie after that! well we could stay up until so late cuz we were sitting in this dark corner where no one could see us thus we didn't get chased back to bed xD haha. 7th june 2006 day 3 the lower sec camp was coming to an end at 4pm. sad but true. after breakfast, we went to the glasgow room to see photos of fun we had in camp for the past 2 days and we had the message. the message was on the 3 things that we christians should do as we are in the last days. 1. watch and watch 2. pray and pray 3. work and work then we played the game of life. the adult leaders protrayed the world. there were jobs to do, education, stock market, investments, casinos, gambling den and indulgance land for food and accessories to enter into stock market, investments and casinos. we even had to get tattoos to get into the underground gambling den. got conman[jon chong la] who cheated my group of FIVE THOUSAND $$$. so mean. and sent us to jail TWICE. bailing us out took SIX HUNDRED $$$): then there was this old man[protrayed by seto] who would be walking arnd. asking you to help him run errands. this included carrying tables around the field. my team kinda ignored him. but if you helped him, he would tell you the gospel and lead you to "church". leb, marcus and james persisted in helping and went to "church". they then led many ppl to church". including my team. but before we went in to "accept Christ", our "life" had ended. thus, we died without having Christ. the adult leaders were quite sad lah. cuz not many of us teenz went to get the wooden cross at "church". yea well i grouped with aika and this new girl called joanna(: well one thing was we made the most money! you could tell by just looking at the stack but as charm had said, the sad thing was we didn't realise that we had to go to the church): and you know what! maja tried to share the gospel with us and we told her we were believers and we were 100% going to heaven after we died): but we didn't even go to church or honour God in everything we did within that few short hours/years of our life. sigh. but well that's one lesson we gotta learn from and pick myself up and learn from that mistake and never let temptations take over me! then we packed up after the game and boarded the separate buses which will bring us to our diff campsites. nona me and nosnuma had tribal camp at sembawang whereas (s.U.R.f)2 had camp with fireagles at pasir ris[where we heard it rained everyday]. second part of camp = tribal camp we were a bit tired and sianed. so we toured the building, have carers and carees, washed up and went to sembawang park jetty for crabbing. ian gave a tutorial but i wasnt really interested in crabbing. i massaged for kailing, auntie annie, hornie and melvin[cuz he was crabbing for our bbq]. most of us went back to the campsite early. i went to sleep before devotion. opps. sorry iris(: oh yah. i wrote a letter to my caree and my carer wrote me sth(: well i went home that night so i missed out on all these): oh wells. 8th june 2006 [day 4] one more day then camp ends! so sad. we had worship and played captain's bomb. using water bombs as balls for captain's ball. at first was water bomb. then it became water+flour. then it was a full water bomb fight. where we had RAW EGGS+WATER for AIMING AT ADULT LEADERS. woots. hahahah. i was defender. but when i saw the eggbomb, i ran away as fast as my legs could carry me! hahahahah. sorry jon chong. and alot of ppl were upset with him. cuz he conned our money! wahahah. so alot of ppl aim him. lalala~ he smelt of egg later on. together with chai. it was bad i tell you, bad! i avoided them till they had a shower. hees. after that was lunch. we then went to sembawang park again for a game. looking for stuff in a list of pics. all over the park. went back to campsite after the game. me and others started playing soccer and the rest started preparing for the bbq. hees. sorry ppl for not helping. hehs. bbq was great. oh yes! soccer! nice nice it's my new love! xD haha me and yufei teamed up and we won like, 3 rounds consectively! haha although i played until my slippers fell out and i had to play barefooted which turned out to be more fun and played until my specs fell on the ground and i went specsless but well i could still see(: so fun so fun! haha soccer has become my new love now! xD here's the list of food that was present: 1. chicken wings [which iris had daniel and other ppl who were bbq-ing serving her continuously] oh mann the chicken wings were delicious! but they took such a long time to cook!): 2. 16 crabs [which were yummy and cass kept feeding me crabmeat. thanks to all those that were staying up all night for crabbing] you're quite welcome baby!(: haha but the crabmeat was woa! so delicious yay! <3! 3. banana choc!!! [yum! oh my goodness. it was AMAZING xD i love it! thanks to all those who prepared. i saw chai prepare too. so thnx(: kailing went angelic after eating it. seto was lyk, licking the foil. wahahahahah.] oh my tian the banana choc was practically heavenly! but then again, i get to eat it every outdoor cooking so i guess it wasn't that angelic to me but still! YUM!(: 4. STINGRAY!!! [when it first came out, my table ppl were lyk, mad over it. everyone snatching for a bite lah. WAHAHAHAHAH. it was so delicious! but they kept serving it. i eat too much of it liao. a bit sick. hahahah.] the stingray was really nice too! though not enough chilli! :/ but yum yum! haha i never tried bbq-ing stingray before! but it turned out really delicious and i kept wanting somemore till i felt sick too :/ 5. sausages [yum. it was the "higher" grade kind. so it's nice.] i love bbq-ing hotdogs! yum yum! 6. sweet corn [ i didnt eat this. but i saw aika did. should be yummy.] haha i didn't try it either. wasn't in the mood for sweet corn :/ 7. fish! [i ate that. i think i'm the ONLY one who ate it. maybe iris and cass and sarah did too. heh.] eh yes i tried the fish(: iris or someone told me that it was caught by ian! haha surprisingly delicious! 8. sweet potato [I LOVE SWEET POTATO. i shared with sarah. it was yummishly yellow. heh.] hey! i didn't know there was sweet potato! my love! oh mann i didn't get to try sweet potatao!): 9. beehoon [it was great. i din eat alot though. cuz i was saving my stomach for other food. wahahahah.] eh? didn't try this. wasn't in the mood to eat bee hoon :/ haha the crabs were much more tempting! 10. mashed potatos [THANKS SHAWN VASOO, DARREN AND THE REST FOR PEELING POTATOES FOR THE MASHED POTATO. I LOVE IT<333] oh yes! they were delicious! THANKS LOADS GUYS! love it too! 11. watermelon [iris and cass made ppl take the watermelon for them. wahahah. then the kind and helpful guys lyk, shaun lim and giolo helped. so sweet. we felt so blessed. more abt it l8r.] eh! must clarify! we didn't make the younger sweet guys take for us! well at least i didn't! i just asked them to help me take cuz they were nearer to the watermelon tray mah! haha but yes, as iris put it, we felt very very blessed! thank you so much younger teens! 12. MARSHMELLOWS [thank you hornie for helping me make ONE marshmellow. heh. cuz of your 2nd wife rite?! wahahahah. i noe you love your jacket loads!] stupid hornie. never make mashmellows for me! but is it i ate half of your mashmellow? oh or maybe it was someone's else but well thanks anyway to whoever gave me half of their mashmellow, not hornie(: but well i had some(: thanks loads rikki for sharing yours with me and they were delicious! and i massaged for melvin cuz kailing was massaging for shaun/shawn tien. then melvin called for me. then ask me to massage. lol. i think that's about it. heh. iris, cass and me sat around a table lah. then we were lyk, so blessed by the younger ppl cuz they kept coming up and asking us wad we wanted to eat. then we needed water. so we called "TALL DARK AND HANDSOME!!" then hornie, in self-denial, replied and came over. we asked him to help us take water several times. wahahahahah. so nice rite? i noe. wahahahah. cass later called him a perfect gentleman. we got chase him cuz we wanted to tickle him though. we found out alot others are afraid of tickles too ;p hehs.. want to noe who? come ask me and cass. heehee. we have plans(: the rest started to play monkey. after bbq was prize presentation. haha! yes! oh my tian TALL DARK HANDSOME! haha after that i decided to call him perfect gentleman as a compliment(: cuz although hornie was so ego but well, he was nice enough to make like 5, 6 trips to the water cooler to get water for us(: xD well and he seem like a PERFECT GENTLEMAN! okay haha not really but well! it's better to praise than to call him names! then we chased him and tickled him as usual! but after that i felt a bit guilty :/ cuz like he so nice to us then we keep chasing after him and causing him injuries and tickling him although it was uber uber fun! xD haha and yes! a whole lot of ppl are also scared of tickles! haha secret ah. they're for me and charm to tickle! xD oh and shawn tien was hilarious! i was asking him riddles and jokes and his reaction ah. aiyo made me laugh like siao during the bbq! quote: why does the cat say meow?! haha! ohoh and me and charm kept accusing of making sam laugh after 8 at night and his innocent face is so funny! xD after that he said he was like a clown but it's okay lah! we bonded closer anyway xD and sam has a new bedtime - 7:59! haha cuz otherwise she'll laugh like siao after 8! oh and darren kept blowing out my big big fire x( but it's okay i guess. he just didn't want the food to be chao da.(: after bbq i just stayed for a bit of prize presentation then i had to go already): all because of school the next day!): but thank God i could just come and bond with everyone! most helpful camper - DARREN [thank God. i see the change in him!!!] best cooks - HENRIETTA AND AMANDA JONG [I LOVE THE FOOD(:] best group - i forgot. but chup-a-chup [my grp] won the amazing race back to church and got cups of "SKY WATER" aka water from the water cooler upstairs in 360 dunearn.wahahaha. so then the ppl played the BEST GAME OF CAPTAIN'S BALL until 2AM. i went to wash up and sleep at 1:54. and replied my carer and caree. [day 5] 9th june 2006 we all were lyk, quite sad going to end camp liao. yah. we washed and packed up. had breakfast. slacked. saw melvin, hornie and shawn/shaun tien do some dumb stuff. as usual. then we went to sembawang park after dumping our stuff into the church van. went there and sat in the pavillion thingy. then we found out who our carer and caree was. i knew alot lah. wahahahah. my carer was xinghui and caree was kailing. whees~ ahahahah. then we had lunch. where we had no spoon and had to break a part of the styrofoam box to use as a spoon. wahahahah. then we played the at the playground and i made hornie's jacket sandy. whees. then we amazing race back to church where we had to get a few items: 1. perlini's silver plastic bag [we got to buy a pair of $5 star earrings. everything the guys paid. thanks guys(:] 2. 10 toenails [mine. cuz i very long nvr cut le =x hehs.] 3. 6 diff types of leaves [we found them everywhere apparently] 4. 3 empty 1.5 litres bottles [we bought 3 bottles of mineral water and finished them on the way.] 5. 3 live ants [i caught 4 and put them in the 1.5 litres bottle] 6. a picture taken with a statue [this was our winning point. cuz it was a grp photo. with macdonalds apparently. hahaha.] and that's all i think. we went sun plaza for the 4 and 6 items. then took mrt to J8 for 1 and 2[nail clipper]. then we caught the 3 live ants at glcc. hehs. on the floor of the patio. then we went to basement. then we slacked. had worship and thanksgiving. all of us didnt want to leave. I NEED MORE CAMP(: we all had arms around each other and sang a common love; it was fantastic. God's prescence was definitely there. blessing all of us. it was beautiful. i love worshipping our Abba Father(: thank you Jesus Christ for dying for us. so we can be so close to God, and can call Him our Father xD then we all very sad lah. i couldnt bear to leave the hoody!!!! wahhh. hahahaha. nvm lah. i'll get it some other time(: yup well i went straight to church after school and slacked until the others came and then i played soccer once again till we had thanksgiving(: thanksgiving was great and i wished i had gave thanks but it's okay next time then! thank God for a amazing time during camp. it was great. and all of us had a spiritual revival. thank God for protecting me. and i'm lyk, healthy after camp and during camp. and also thank God for the adult leaders who contributed so much and planned everything and yet they didnt complain at all. they did everything sacrificially for us. thank God for your wonderful spirit(: thanks to aunty abigail for working behind the scenes without murmur or complain. the juice everyday during the lower sec camp was great. thank God for opening doors to all who came. each one of you has been a blessing to the rest. and your prescence made a difference to all of us. THANK GOD FOR MAKING CAMP POSSIBLE xD if it was not for Him, some of us might not even make it(: I NEED MORE CAMP I NEED MORE CAMP. CAMP CAMP CAMP!!!! (: well thank God for charm who has typed out everything and i just have to include my own version(: haha and thank God for every single camper He has brought in! i've bonded with more people, talked to people i never talked to before - rikki; shawn tian; joseph; melvin; giolo; etc etc. really thank God for everything. without Him, i won't even be able to sit here and blog all these happy things! well nights people! i have school tomorrow too x( nights! <3, CASS. |
